Query syntax

You can predefine queries in course descriptions with the following syntax:

Example course description:

Learn this course with the following queries:
- {{Query::Animal Image,Sound::Animal Latin::Learn Latin Name}}
or if you want to learn the English name:
- {{Query::Animal Image,Sound::Animal Name::Learn English Name}}

This will show the user two queries for each part with the descriptions: Learn Latin Name and Learn English Name. The {{Query:: syntax starts the definition. Then you define:

  1. The field(s) to display
  2. The single field to prompt
  3. The query description.

Of course, you can also specify fields to display after the answer was given:

Example course description:

Learn this course with the following queries:
- {{Query::Animal Image,Sound::Animal Latin::Note,Sound::Learn Latin Name}}
Note the additional third fields Note,Sound. Thus, the colon (::) separted fields specify:
  1. The field(s) to display
  2. The single field to prompt
  3. The field(s) to display afterwards
  4. The query description.

Tip:

Add the character string '->' to your query description. It will get rendered as a nice arrow ().
